Militant Islamic Terrorists are Enemies of Western Democracies

Omar Mateen wanted there to be no doubt that he is an ISIS fighter, and that Islamic Militants, of which he is a part, are at war with the West. He and his brand of Islam are for conversion by force, or death. They view homosexuality as wrong, and worthy of death as a result.

Compare that to Western Freedom and Christianity, where human life is valued, and violence to force your opinion is rightly decried as barbaric, wrong and to be immediately punished. Those in the gay bar in Orlando were precious to God, as are all human beings. While Jesus-followers like me believe the Scripture teaches that sex is a gift from God, given to be enjoyed between a husband and wife, me and my peeps are never bringing violence to homosexuals, nor anger nor derision. (I've been to the local gay bar, cooking meals to share in the parking lot after midnight, sharing water and having conversations about Jesus with those who are interested. I'll share more on that another time.)

Radical Islam is making war on its enemies, which includes all us Westerners, political left and political right. If you are a hard political left person and think that Islamic Militants will stop wanting to kill you because you agree with them that America is the root cause of the world's problems, you are mistaken. They want you dead.

Last week, ISIS in Mosul, Iraq burned to death 19 Yazidi girls that they abducted from Northern Irag. Their crime? They refused to be sex-slaves to the ISIS fighters.

Last year, Islamic Militants in Libya videotaped the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians. They killed them because they are Christians.

Don't fool yourself that we can negotiate our way to Radical Islamic Fighters liking us. Nor that we can screen for such a worldview when people immigrate here.

Freedom Is Better. And it Must Be Defended.
